@icedquinn I agree with all of this ,but the businesses side of it is pretty simple. The main revenue source that has funded newsrooms since the post-war boom has been ads. The bulk of that revenue has moved from newspapers, to radio, to TV, to datafarms. Each time, there is a painful shrinking of funding for the formerly dominant medium, and a panic about funding journalism. But the nature of #DigitalConvergence threatens the revenue sources all legacy media orgs at once.
