Wikipedia has a pretty good list showing all media file formats, their history, and which are proprietary, or open source. The Open Document is on there (ODF), but it's just one of many formats, that together, establish the foundation for Digital Sovereignty.

Given how much of our lives are controlled by data, asking who controls it is critical for modern life. (Not even to mention a modern economy) Only Open Source can genuinely answer that question.

I suggest being careful and vigilant in regards to what might be happening to #Bitwarden under it's new management. It could be slowly marching towards #enshittification.
At this point in time, I would probably recommend #Proton Pass over Bitwarden for new users.
