J.S. Bach was such a fanboy of Buxtehude that it’s said that he once walked nearly 300miles just to hear Buxtehude’s perform! It’s rumored that in addition to some guidance, Buxtehude also offered his daughter’s hand in marriage to Bach but uhh.. she was like 30yrs older than him👀… she eventually married someone else
