Published May 21, 2025"Portland police arrested more than a dozen [18, I heard] #activists Wednesday afternoon as they staged a so-called '#DieIn' to protest the ongoing war in Gaza and the lack of #HumanitarianAid for #Palestinians.
"The demonstrators were part of a larger group that blocked a four-way intersection on Commercial Street for roughly an hour. #KristenSalvatore was among those arrested after refusing to leave the street despite several warnings from police.
" 'Well nothing else seems to be working. We have to draw attention to this issue. People are going about their lives as if nothing is happening, as if their taxes aren't paying to blow up children and destroy Gaza,' Salvatore said.
"Abby Fuller of the #MaineCoalitionForPalestine said the effort is intended '#DisruptBusinessAs Usual.'
" 'To make sure that powerful people who can make a difference and change policies know that we are not willing to let business go on as usual. And we plan on staying in the street as long as we can and up until arrest,' she said.
"On Thursday, more than a dozen #Mainers will go on a 40-day #HungerStrike. They hope it will keep attention on Gaza and lead to congressional action.
"This week, leaders from the U.K., France and Canada issued a joint statement calling on the Israeli government to end its military operations in Gaza."

Bei der ersten #CyclingRebellion des Jahres 2025 wurde in den Projektionen der Aktionen im vergangenen Jahr die wiederholt deutlich gemachte Kritik an fossilen Subventionen gezeigt - sei es gegen Steuerbefreiung von Flugbenzin, das #Dienstwagenprivileg oder neuer Straßenbau. Wir wollen, dass Subventionen nur noch klimafreundlich für die #Schiene und #Öffis sowie Fuß- und #Radverkehr erfolgen.

Dort steht nicht: Die LG soll keine Blockaden mehr machen. Es könnte prinzipiell sein, dass ich das denke, aber das steht da nicht. Es steht da, wie wir dafür sorgen können, dass die LG aufhört. Wir ist hierbei nicht klar definiert, kann sich auf die gesamte deutsche Bevölkerung beziehen (inklusive Parteien, Landes- und Bundesregierung, auf die Ökos, auf meine Follower auf Mastodon.
Straftaten brauchst Du nicht in Anführungszeichen zu setzen. Es sind welche. Die Frage ist nur, ob sie legitim sind. Da gibt es unterschiedliche Auffassungen von den Gerichten: Freispruch bis zu 8 Monaten Gefängnis. Das wird sich sicher in Zukunft immer mehr in Richtung Freispruch verlagern, denn die Klimakrise wird sich zuspitzen und ob die Regierung angemessen handeln wird, ist unklar. Die jetzige wahrscheinlich eher nicht, nachdem sich nun auch nach dem Verkehr der Bausektor komplett vom #Klimaschutz verabschiedet hat und das #Klimaschutzgesetz ausgehebelt wird. #Verkehrswende #Bauwende
Übrigens steht auch nicht in meinem Tröt, wie wir dafür sorgen müssen, dass es Gesellschaftsräte und Klimaschutz gibt. Kannste machen, wie Du willst. Durch critical mass, Parteimitarbeit, Parteigründung, oder Petitionen oder indem Du bei einem FridaysForFuture-Klimastreik ein Schild hochhältst.

#criticalmass fahre ich auch immer wieder gerne mit. Das ist ja eine total zufällig entstehende Radtour, die in Berlin immer am letzten Freitag im Monat am Mariannenplatz startet. Das ist ganz anders gelagert als Autobahn- und Straßenblockaden der LG, denn die Polizei versucht zumindest in Berlin nicht die critical mass zu verhindern. Sie begleitet sie und schützt sie. In anderen Städten geht es übrigens ganz anders zur Sache (#Nürnberg, #Zürich sind, glaub ich, schlimm). Die Blockaden der LG werden dagegen zu verhindern versucht. Durch Einsatz von Zivilpolizist*innen und wer weiß noch was.Lustigerweise kann die Polizei mit der #criticalmaps-App schon jetzt sehen, wo sich Fahrradfahrer*innen zum Mariannenplatz bewegen und wo sie dann langfahren. =:-)
Die #criticalmass-Aktionen sind eher so wie die #Blockademärsche der #LetzteGeneration. Die kann die Polizei auch recht leicht abräumen, weil da niemand geklebt ist. Sie braucht nur ein entsprechend großes Aufgebot an Polizist*innen. Wenn 10 marschieren, geht es leicht. Wenn 100 marschieren, eher schwierig. Das Nervige ist hier, dass immer wieder neue Märsche entstehen. Pop-Up-Blockaden sozusagen. Es müssen halt alle Aktivist*innen weggesperrt werden.
So und jetzt: Rein logisch kann man die Letzte Generation auch dadurch überflüssig machen und die nervigen Autobahn-Blockaden beenden, indem man bei den #SlowWalks der Letzten Generation mitläuft.
Man kann auch spenden und damit die #LetzteGeneration stärken, so dass der Gesellschaftsrat bzw. effektiver Klimaschutz, Netto-Null bis 2030 schneller erzwungen werden kann.
Auch das ist kompatibel zu dem Text, den ich geschrieben habe. Letztendlich kann man die Letzte Generation abschaffen, indem man sie unterstützt. Das ist paradox, aber unsere Welt ist nicht trivial.
Ich möchte hiermit explizit darauf hinweisen, dass ich weder zu Straftaten aufrufe noch zur Unterstützung von Straftäter*innen. Das ist hier lediglich eine Textanalyse.
Es macht keinen Spaß, Witze zu erklären.
