I feel really bad for this dickcissel, as I believe the poor thing stunned itself by striking a window, but that did allow me to get pretty good photos of it. Window strikes are a pretty big issue on the A&M Galveston campus. I intends to do a writeup on that eventually as I have been collecting data.
I'm not positive but I believe this is a female or maybe a juvenile? For someone in an ornithology class I'm not very good with birds.
