They’re near-limbless, fossorial, snake-shaped, near-blind, insectivorous #squamates mostly occurring in southern and south-eastern Asia (as far east as #NewGuinea). A single species – the #MexicanBlindLizard Anelytropsis papillosus – occurs in eastern #Mexico."
