💭 “In the World of Citations, Are We Really Open(Minded), or Stuck in a Comfort Zone?”
This is the question at the core of the project presented today by the second-year students of the Digital Humanities and Digital Knowledge Master's programme at University of Bologna, during the final workshop of the Open Science course taught by @essepuntato.
The project builds upon a recently published preprint by Andreose, Heibi, Peroni, and Zilli (2026), which assessed and compared the coverage of Italian publications in #OpenCitations across six Italian universities: UNIBO, UNIMI, UNITO, UNIPD, UPO, and SNS.
Starting from this foundation, the students investigated citation patterns in institutional publication data, focusing on geographical and disciplinary aspects.
