He starts with a Ron Padgett poem but quickly takes an alternate route, winding up with a long meditation on how critics have often panned Mary Oliver and other women poets as overly sentimental/emotional/simple, but then praise the very same attributes in male poets.

His exploration of how folks like Merwin, Jim Harrison, and others get read in this way is particularly insightful.
