Just finished Devil Survivor Overclocked.
A easy 9.5/10. Just wished Keisuke's death could have been done more properly. Legit this JRPG had no other flaws, everything else is just nitpicks. If u have 49 - 59 hours, play this (it took me 49 hours but with all the times i died it would prob be up to 59 in actuality)

Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor Overclocked is getting rly good now. Just got to Day 6 and got this really interesting conversation with Naoya. Its clear he is the chaos route option but still its interesting to see his takes on god. I am prob still gonna go for neutral tho.

Yeaaaaaaah! Suck it, Babel!!
It's been an agonic victory, everyone in my team had died except for the MC and one single demon left, so I don't think I would have the chance of holding on much longer. Luckily the final affinity change made Babel weak to physical attacks, so I could use the regular attack to prevent it from having extra turns.

And that's all the Bels down! Time to summon Babel and resolve this matter once and for all...
tomorrow. Tonight I need to rest, as timorrow is my kids' first day of school.

I took a break from packing, and I played a bit more while having a coffee... And I was able to beat Bishamon with some effort (Yuzu and Atsuro died, but Midori and MC persevered), so now I have two more angels to beat before reaching Babel. Exciting times!

CW: SMT Devil Survivor (days 6 and 7)
There we go! Belial is dead, I have acquired its power, and then I have had to choose my path into the last day. Because of how my choices during the game went, I only had two options: Becoming the Messiah (Amane's path) or run away and let everyone in the lockdown die (Yuzu's path). So I've chosen to kill all the Bels and become the Messiah... Did I choose correctly? I don't know, but that's what I'm rolling with.

It's 18:30, and it's time for the final showdown of the day! I think this is going to be a really tough one, so the first try is likely to go really bad... But I'll eventually prevail!

Almost half way through the day (and with a big showdown waiting gor me at 18:00), I'm now trying to rescue some monsters from being butchered by shady Cop Tamers.
And the thing is, the tamers themselves are not too strong, but twice already Black Frost has thrown itself into combat before I had the chance to heal it, dying and making me fail the mission. Lile, really dude, let me handle this, stop dying on me 🤣

CW: SMT Devil Survivor (day 5)
I just finished Day 5, and what a day! I've learned much about what's going on thanks to Amane and Izuna, and I'm (probably) starting to put together how to deal with the situation.
Also, while I managed to save Mari, I didn't arrive on time to prevent Keisuke's murder, so that's one thing I'll have to live with.
Will the game really end in two days? It feels lile it's not enough time to resolve everything!

CW: SMT Devil Survivor (day 4)
Day 4 complete! Compared to the hard boss from yesterday, this day felt like a breeze.
I prevented Haru's suicide, recruited Midori for my team, helped Eiji learn where to find Aya (although sounds like I may regret it) and got Mari out of a tricky situation (I might have made a mistake not listening to her and "killing" the vampire though... we'll see, because I also found her bag).
What will day 5 bring?

It's been a few days since the last update!
I'm finally at the boss of Day 3 and it has defeated me several times already. I've won a handful of free fights, and I thought I was ready for Baldr but... Having to work my way through its ranks and then fighting him only with one character is turning out to be more than I can chew!
I guess it's back to more free fights 😅

CW: SMT Devil Survivor (day 3)
Progressing through day 3 now, I've been going around, trying to find a way out of the lockdown. Meanwhile, I've found myself having to deal with some demons and I have to say, the tension in each of the fighting missions is palpable! Saving Haru (again) was tricky, monsters are getting strong...
And when the mission about helping Midori was going a bit too well... Huh, freaking Baldr appears and I have to make a run for it!!

Day 2 finished! There was a final optional fight with some overpowered monster that offered some sort of game, but I ended up skipping that and talking to Mari to know a bit more about her ties with Tadashi.
Although now I kind of regret not having tried the fight a few more times? I would like to know what was in the data drive!

Finally!! I finally made it! It's taken me seven tries, but in the end I msnaged to save all citizens and stop the monsters from escaping!
Now it's 18:00 and it looks like I have some options for where to go next... And I think the Laplace mail is off by half an hour today?
But my NDS is running out of battery, so I'll have to charge it before I can continue 😅

CW: SMT Devil Survivor (day 2)
There is a mission in Devil Survivor that's giving me a lot of trouble. You have to save three civilians and, the moment one dies, the mission is over.
But because the monsters are able to hit for massive damage, I nearly don't have time to reach the civilians before they are killed. I've trid six times already, and the outcome is always the same. The moment two monsters gang up on a single civiluan, it's game over 😭

I finally beay the goons' fight! Turns out my demons were not powerful enough the first time I tried, so after some side-fights, cracking some skills, and auctioning for some new summons, I was ready for the challenge.
It's late now, but look forward to knowing where those COMPs are coming from, and what's up with the lockdown!!

Day 1 complete! And not easy, I must say!
The fight with the Wendigo was quite difficult, and I died a couple of times, but the one where I had to save Haru was no joke either...
I'm liking the way Atlus adapted the SMT formula to the NDS, both in combat and in the way the plot progresses.
Time to start the second day!
