📍 At the Hamburg node, participants have formed dynamic groups tackling topics like cloud climatology, aerosols, ice sheets, and more. Moreover, computing companies such as NVIDIA and climate modelling initiatives like #DestinE are also on-site, joining forces to push the boundaries of #ClimateScience. 💡

#PASC24 Mini-Symposium acceptance notifications have been sent out. Both of my proposals have been accepted and I'm looking forward to a great conference in Zurich.
The first session is co-hosted with Claudia Frauen from #DKRZ and is entitled "Towards km-scale weather and climate simulations on (pre-)exascale HPC systems". It will feature presentations on ICON (recently open-sourced) and @ECMWF's IFS, including details from the model deployment for #DestinE, and the EarthWorks project.

📆 This year, the 2023 #OpenEarthMonitor (OEMC) Global Workshop will host a variety of formats, from keynote lectures to oral talks, workshops and poster presentations!
9 experts will host keynote lectures on #open #EO #greentransition #OpenClimate #DestinE #landuse #landcover #modeling #Openscience #environmentalcrises . In addition, 18 workshops will be hosted where you can get training in using open EO tools and data.

He contributes to projects like #nextGEMS, #WarmWorld and #DestinE and is one of the go-to persons for ICON, MPI-ESM, or CMIP6 issues. His main focus are tools for work flow and result control, as well as data flow and data management. -
