  11. Whatever is going on over at statcounter, their desktop OS stats are hilarious at the moment.

    - over 7 % unknown OS: I would be very interested in learning which OS that is and why they are unable to detect 7 % of desktop OSs in use
    - macOS is now devided in macOS and OS X without any explanation whatsover: macOS is at 5 %. Odd since I doubt entire Apple OS desktop share for OSs newer than 10.11 El Capitan is 5 % while OS X is still 10 %, this makes no sense. There was a problem that macOS just announced all newer OSs as macOS 10.16 or something like that, so maybe that is now what they call "macOS"? Still no info from
#statcounter on their proprietary social network accounts. While that would make some sense the numbers still don't add up at all
    - also why differentiate Apple desktop OS while windows is all one OS?

    Nice to see
    #Linux desktop back over 4 % 💪

I wonder why, I wonder how

  17. @codewiz it sure isn't a good #UX imho, and it doesn't help promote #Linux as a #desktopOS alternative to #Windows, so if you have hopes that filing a bug will actually end up improving the situation, then I would certainly do it. ;)
At the very least your steps to reproduce and solve/workaround it might help some future person find a working solution. :D

  19. I should really try #Linux as a #desktopOS again...
Don't really want to muck with my current Windows install, nor feel like resizing partitions to make space for a Linux install, so I guess I should see if I still have a spare disk I can reuse for this purpose.

Or, finally order an SSD, even if it's just a tiny one, for myself to use as primary boot device. If only hardware here in #Norway wasn't so much more expensive than I'm used to from the #Netherlands...
