Starting 2023 off with some rain. The Galiuro Mountains are still just visible across the valley.
Weather like this makes me think of the old Mother goose rhyme:
One misty moisty morning,
When cloudy was the weather...
How very far away this landscape is from the place that produced that rhyme!

We went back to the Desert Botanical Garden tonight for round two of the Luminarias. It’s our favorite thing to do around Christmas. We usually have to make a trip back with just the two of us. #dbg #az #desertwinter #simplythree #music

Happy winter solstice!
Cholla is greeting the solstice down in the canyon. Originally I meant to express the relative warmth of desert winter, but I think all I really captured was the relative prickliness of it--which is high. Perhaps the blue sky will be comforting to friends in stormy weather today though!
