    Thanks for posting that! I noticed that the book starts with lyrics from the film "Der Blaue Engel", part of which had been parodied by Mel Brooks' film "Blazing Saddles". It also reminded me that the lyrics in the latter film mirror that of the former.

"Falling in Love Again (Can't Help It)" is the #EnglishLanguage name for a 1930 #German song composed by #FriedrichHollaender as "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß auf Liebe eingestellt" (literally: "I am, from head to toe, ready for love"). The song was originally performed, in the 1930 film #DerBlaueEngel (English translation: The Blue Angel), by #MarleneDietrich, who also recorded the most famous English version, which became her anthem.
