In a recent study across three VA centers, a patient-directed educational intervention was shown to modestly increase #deprescribing of potentially low-benefit and high-risk medications like PPIs and high-dose gabapentin. By providing brochures before primary care visits, this low-tech, scalable strategy helped promote shared decision making and improve medication safety.

Zurzeit werden Apotheken nach verkaufter Packung und nicht nach Beratungsleistung bezahlt, wodurch der Verkauf der klimasensiblen Beratung vorgezogen wird.
