The emphasis on “very slow taper” is key.
You may feel uncomfortable (this means different things for each person) as you lower the dose. Could be nausea,headache,dizziness, etc.
The more gradual the taper, the better. Be patient. You can do this!

#deprescribing - music to my ears. All patients or their caregivers should be required to sit with a #pharmacist and perform a CMR (comprehensive med review) . Currently in the US, Medicare puts the onus on the pharmacist to contact (cold call) the patient. This is not ideal for obvious reasons. Of course the patient could seek our help voluntarily, but most are unaware of the value of such interventions. #Pharmocogenomics #MedMastodon
