My brother in law (a firefighter, not an oil painter) painted our #cats as a Christmas present last year, and the paint has (finally) dried some 9 months later!

(1/4) Cats are monsters.
Last night, just before midnight, my cat Goblin caught a rat out in the catio.
He then carried it up about 15 feet of jumping platforms and brought it into our house via a cat door we have set in the window. He carried it through the house across the livingroom, down the hall, and into the bedroom, where he leapt onto the bed (waking me) to show me his prize.

CW: My cat is stoned.
So #DemoTheCat had a big day today. He got super high. He bit his vet. He isn't even sorry.
A bit of background - he HATES this vet. Always has. Loves people, but not this vet. So he got the GOOD drugs - Gabapentin on top of his usual #Prozac. It wasn't enough.
He was his usual charming self, up until the moment he'd had enough. His vet was gracious, and my wife (who bit nobody) apologized.
Now my fierce little warrior gets a stoned victory nap.

Some people have #cats that get along, snuggle together, and generally enjoy one another's company.
I have cats that grudgingly tolerate the existence of one another, instead.

It's pretty much his favorite place to be, or curled up on my shoulder/arm.
Love it when (not pictured this time) he sticks his little beans in my beard, like a kid who doesn't want kisses from his parents.

Our neighbor's #quail escaped into our yard this evening, but my wife managed to save it from our cat (#DemoTheCat) before he could sink his murderous claws into it.
Neighbors don't really speak English, but were super pleased to have the little critter returned. She was a charming little motherclucker, and super tame. I'm glad our monster didn't get at her.

Waking up with these two cats is always amusing, since they want basically nothing to do with each other. They both want snuggles, but neither wants to share them.

Goblin (orange cat) and Demo (grey cat) don't exactly get along. But if there are BUGS, Goblin will forget about that issue for a bit. It's funny to watch him realize how close he is to Demo (and then retreat) every once in a while.
As an aside, Dubia roaches aren't just a great food source for lizards, cats (apparently) enjoy them too!
