Outrage from the Senate, and rightly so imo. An already over-secretive govt is bad enough but for it’s political appointees to close ranks in this fashion is indeed outrageous and counter to the idea of *public service*.

This is were it’s going. The public service making demands on what should be a fully transparent process of public scrutiny. Our appointed officials seek to minimize their responsibilites to the public and side-step accountability. why does this smell like #tRumpism ?

This is the parliamentary equivalent of copy-and-pasting one of those Facebook privacy 'disclaimers' that your least tech-savvy uncle posts as a prophylactic against all the rights he has already signed away by being on the platform in the first place.
