Another Example of “The Issue is never the issue”
I guess this means that Climate Change as an issue is dead – at least as far as the US Democrat Party is concerned.

And it’s not just the issues that can be dumped into the memory hole, but entire personalities….

The Person is never the Person
We all know of politicians who change their stripes to match the times and so give them a chance to hang on to power. But even by those standards this guy, Justin Pearson, takes the cake; from Obama-wannabe to cos-playing a 1960’s Black Radical (complete with James Brown dance moves), in just a few years.

“Late Stage Capitalism” and “Communist” China
My co-blogger ColinXY may have been aware of this but I wasn’t and I suspect neither is “Bomber” Bradbury, who uses it all the time.
https://twitter.com/ianhowlett/status/2053229266481901671
The term “late stage capitalism” was first used in a 1925 publication by the German social scientist Werner Sombart, according to Wikipedia. So clearly it’s just not an accurate term. You wouldn’t have late stage cancer then live another 101 years.
Somebody needs to tell the Chinese Communists.

I’m not as impressed by the cement – all those ghost cities are at the heart of it – but those ship-building figures are extraordinary and they are being used in real trade and commerce.

Oh Canada
In Canada, a Liberal MP, Nate Erskine-Smith, has lost a nomination race against one Ahsanul Hafiz, a Bangladeshi-born business owner who owns 30 Domino’s Pizza franchises – thanks to all the other Bangladeshi’s who now live there.
https://twitter.com/mario4thenorth/status/2053290685550198920
Those new Canadians just picked their own guy. The man who built the machine is now complaining about the machine.
https://twitter.com/ezralevant/status/2053267469364539744
I’d like to think that owning 30 Domino’s Pizza franchises will mean that Mr Hafiz is in touch with things that affect the lives of ordinary people, or at least more so than Erskine-Smith; taxes, regulation, social welfare, crime…

Clueless in LA
I don’t think Republican Spender Pratt will win the LA Mayorilty, the place is too far gone, but he’s certainly scaring all the right people. So much so that they finally produced an attack advertisement (30s).
https://twitter.com/UnrigLA/status/2053217879722713478
If you watched that and thought to yourself – “Hang on, those “threats” sound like great ideas” – then congratulations, you are smarter than the political consultants who put that advertisement together.
Clueless in Chicago
To be fair this woman is getting a clue – unfortunately it required the death of an innocent old man:
A New York woman who refused to cooperate with prosecutors after a mental patient attacked her on the subway weeks before he pushed a retired [76 year old] NYC teacher to his death appears to have some serious regrets.
“Maybe a part of me was just like, I don’t want to put another black man in jail,” the unidentified 23-year-old told the New York Post over the weekend.
Now, however, she is saying, “I regret it 100 percent and feel really bad that a man lost his life.”Yes, it’s all about FEELZ. My bet is that she’ll still vote Democrat in this years elections. She’s in good company, as I wrote about last year You Can’t Save AWFLs From Themselves.
Or another story that Second City Cop notes in relation to all this.
ABC’s Leah Hope was carjacked and beaten to the point she couldn’t be on the air for six weeks….AND SHE BLAMED THE SYSTEM, not the guy who almost broke her jaw in half.
Except in this the AWFL’s beliefs got another person killed.

But Getting a Clue in Germany
Frankly I find this astounding and at first assumed it was a AI satire but no, apparently Merz really said this.

But They Won’t Follow Argentina
Aside from these hopeful notes of Lefties Learning (plus perhaps their squishy “Centre-Right” uni-partners-in-crime, there also this bright, shining example that things can be turned around.
https://twitter.com/martinvars/status/2052071278886977684
Plus the screaming about the poverty, which the screamers do not link to the annual inflation hitting 211 percent in 2023 because for the previous twenty years the central bank financed their endless deficist after deficit until the peso lost 99 percent of its value against the dollar. Half the country was at or below the poverty line when Milei came to power.
He changed things in ways the Euros (and Britain, and us) simply will not follow – at least until we hit rock bottom:
#AWFLAffluentWhiteFemaleLeftist #Canada #Chicago #DemocratCities #DemocratParty #EUEuropeanUnion #LosAngelesThe fiscal deficit was eliminated for the first time in 16 years. Monthly inflation fell from 25 percent to low single digits. The central bank stopped printing to fund the Treasury. Country risk dropped from over 2,500 basis points to a fraction of that. Argentine sovereign debt, which used to trade like a default option, began behaving like normal emerging market paper.
Critics say poverty rose. It did, briefly, because removing price controls and subsidies revealed the real prices of energy, transport and food that the state had been hiding with debt. Once measured honestly, poverty has been falling fast. Real wages are recovering. Mortgages in pesos are reappearing, something that had not been possible in a generation.
This matters beyond Argentina. It is the clearest live experiment in whether a developed-style economy can be rebuilt by pulling the state out of places it never belonged. Spain, Italy and France should be paying attention. A country does not get poor because it lacks resources. It gets poor because its political class learned to live off printing money and calling it social policy.
Argentina spent 80 years proving that. It is now spending two years proving the opposite.

When guns aren’t available
Let’s start with something fun. This guy is freakishly good.
https://twitter.com/Rainmaker1973/status/2038622272844636321
News has finally emerged about the NASA astronaut whose illness resulted in an “evacuation” of the four members of Expedition 74 from the ISS a few weeks before the scheduled end of their mission. The astronaut who was sick has been identified, and what he was suffering from:
Astronaut Mike Fincke, who has been to space four times, told the Associated Press that he was struck with the illness while eating dinner. He briefly lost the ability to speak. “He couldn’t talk and remembers no pain, but his anxious crewmates jumped into action after seeing him in distress and requested help from flight surgeons on the ground,”
Sort of:
Fincke said he’s been enjoying time with his family back on Earth. “We couldn’t tell. It was one of those things that the doctors are still scratching their heads,” according to Fincke. He didn’t have a stroke or heart attack, the data showed. “We cleared out all the really tough things,” he added. “We are almost 100% sure that this is a space-related thing.”
Well at least nothing burst out of his chest!
More on Democrat Cities
Groan! I just did a piece on how to clean up Chicago and other Democrat cities and now this on the infamous Red Line…
When you pray for metal fatigue
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWgkWAQjUgu/
Those rear doors are locked to prevent this sort of insanity, and I can’t see how he could squeeze out of the windows. The guy concerned will be walking the streets of Chicago tomorrow and who knows what other excitements he will seek.
NYC Residents meet Menken’s Good and Hard Rule
It’s good that the city is building a homeless shelter for about 150 men suffering from the usual factors of homeless men; drug addiction and mental health issues.
It’s bad that they’re putting it in the middle of an ordinary neighbourhood:
https://twitter.com/ABC7NY/status/2038543233555341685
Mamdani thinks he can put homeless shelters in any neighborhood he wants because he wants the homeless to feel like they are at home, because maybe being around families will rehabilitate them. He could put shelters anywhere in the city, but he chooses to put them right in the middle of our neighborhood. He doesn’t care about the danger that poses to us. Look at all the cops that showed up tonight. Will the cops show up when some homeless drug addict lays his hands on a child?
Exactly, but the politicians don’t have to worry about that last: the following is a reference to Chicago Mayor Johnson, but it applies to any of the Democrat pollies.
The NYC protest happened in an Asian neighbourhood but we all know that Asians are just White Supremacist Adjacent so they’ll be ignored, and in any case almost half of them – 49.1% percent – voted for Zohran Mamdani.
Why Crime Flourishes in Minnesota.
Even after all the publicity about the massive amounts of fraud that the local Somali community have pulled against the Minnesota welfare agencies, the message still doesn’t get through to the forces of Law and Order in Democrat places.
https://twitter.com/KSTP/status/2038649718356459881
One year for $250 million is not a bad deal. Plus a quick reminder that local political star lIhan Omar (Somalia) was also in the middle of this fraud:
- Ilhan Omar Promoted “Feed Our Future”
- Ilhan Omar Volunteered at “Feed Our Future”
- Illhan Omar got Donations from “Feed Our Future”
Governor Tim “Chorus Dancer” Walz is also quite open about the motivating factor, if not actually yelling “We Love Being Ripped Off” in public.

Providence, Rhode Island Wipes Iryna Zarutska from history
Some victims are deserving of being memorialised, like Saint George I stick this gun in your pregnant belly Floyd, because their memory brings us together.
But other victims are – what’s the word – forgettable, problematic…??
The mural, located on the exterior of The Dark Lady, an LGBTQ+ club in downtown Providence, remains incomplete, WJAR-TV reported. The office of Mayor Brett Smiley told the news outlet that he wants the artwork taken down.
“The murder of the individual depicted in this mural was a devastating tragedy, but the misguided, isolating intent of those funding murals like the one across the county is divisive and does not represent Providence,” Smiley said in a statement.Oh right, “divisive”. Divisive was the word I was looking for. Even the LGBTQ+ connection could not save the mural.
What a cunt Mayor Smiley is – and he’ll probably be re-elected by his Democrat voters.
However, his best efforts, I don’t think the Memory Hole works that well anymore and Iryna Zarutska will not be forgotten – and neither will shitty political and ideological efforts to wipe her away.

Bigger Versions of Left-Wing Cities
Strangely enough scaling up the likes of such cities to the Nation-State level doesn’t work either.

To be fair if I was ruled by the likes of the NDP (New Democrat Party) I might to commit suicide too. No Canadian Left-wing government can win power without the NDP’s support. The following is very funny, if unintentionally so.

Spain
Father loses legal fight to halt euthanasia of 25-year-old daughter… Noelia Castillo Ramos’ case galvanized international attention after her father, Gerónimo Castillo, mounted a legal battle against the authorization of various Spanish courts for his daughter to receive euthanasia in 2023. Aided by Abogados Cristianos (Christian Lawyers), a conservative Catholic organization, Mr. Castillo exhausted all appeals to the Spanish courts.
The father argued that his daughter wasn’t fully psychologically able to make a decision regarding euthanasia and that she needed better medical and psychiatric care. His legal battle was ultimately shut down by the European Court for Human Rights in Strasbourg, France, on March 10.In her brief, awful life she had been:
- Removed from her parents after their divorce.
- Tried to commit suicide twice (saved by her mother once).
- Sexually abused by her boyfriend.
- Attempted rape in a nightclub.
- Gang raped in the state care home she was placed in.
- Attempted suicide again by jumping off the home’s fifth floor. Survived, if that’s the word.
- Refused privately-funded care offered by numerous wealth (and non-wealthy) people
But in the end, like Canada, it was simpler (and cheaper) for the State to just kill her.
Nations cannot survive when their cultures are this sick.
