Took some photos for my buddy, colleague, and fellow #ASLEF comrade Jamie a few weeks ago, and happy to see them going out to promote his run for DementiaUK – he is running alongside the route of the line that we drive our trains on. CW: Dementia - Touching
I’ve been in the Nursing Home where Mum moves to tomorrow. Making up her room and stuff. Twice the nurse who will look after her has come in to chat about stuff and each time he’s gently put his hand on my shoulder.
Touching strangers isn’t always appropriate but sometimes, like now, this human contact is so reassuring and comforting.
