And they'll phone the Australian National Dementia Helpline and ask about the legalities of locking doors & gates to stop an elderly person putting themself in grave danger.They're not feeling good.
I'm thinking that being prevented from going out into the world is a significant change.
It could be put into an Advanced Care Directive.#AgingInPlace #AgedCare #DementiaCare #AdvancedCareDirectives

This does not appear to be consistent with maintaining existing skills nor with supporting the resident in maintaining friendships & relationships.
Both of these are, AIUI, effective in slowing the progression of dementia.
