You want the answer. And you want the answer now. Not because you need it now, but because you fear you will forget your question & lose your train of thought.
If you could opt-in & have your answer come a few hrs or day later, reminding you of your thought train, indeed helping sustain & grow it, you’d be fine with a delayed response. #ISONewEngland’s profit model is based on a scarcity mindset, which works against abundant renewables and conservation. Exhibit A is ISO’s opposition to mentioning #DemandResponse as a tool to manage #eclipse2024.
For the rest of my term as a member of the #ConsumerLiaisonGroup I will be emphasizing an #abundancemindset to grow a resilient and healthy grid for all.

#DemandResponse pairs *extremely well* with solar & wind, almost like they were made for each other.
That’s exactly why #ISONewEngland silenced that message in #EclipseGate, and why they try to keep discussions of DR & renewables separated. It hurts gas Peaker plant profits, who dominate #NEPOOL, ISO’s “partner”.

I find it really amazing to see how quickly new types of demand response are becoming mainstream. Here: Windows enabling access to the ⚡️Grid Forecast API for all apps.
Soon any device with 🔌&🛜 will be grid smart. Now we 'just' need the right regulations & markets to reward flexibility.
