With wind providing about 9% of the grid and solar at 4% (see https://grid.iamkate.com/), while the temperature in my hedge is at 9 ˚C and rising, my heat pump is off for the day. It's true that carbon intensity is below last year's average (194 vs 230 gCO2e/kWh) but I can drop that small bit of demand and see virtually no difference in the temperature over the next 12 hours. #heatpump #demandmanagement
