#Helix #lucorum (#Helicidae) is a land #snail #species with a noticeably large shell that is originally distributed in Asia Minor and the Black Sea region. Like Cornu aspersum, the species is popular as a #delicacy in Europe, but is rarely bred and is instead taken from the field. Author I. Ekin (2023) deals with the #reproductiveprocesses of H. lucorum and studied them in the field for several years. #biodiversity

Almaty sunflower halva is my absolute favorite. Usually, glucose syrup is used for halva, but Almaty halva is special. It uses a mild and juicy sugar syrup that gives the halva a pleasant texture and a softer taste.

Had spaghetti alla #bottarga for Sunday lunch today. One variety of Bottarga is made from Bluefish #Tuna eggs and is so scarce it's considered a #delicacy. It's not cheap. The #flavour is very #subtle, fishy and slightly salty. Personally, the flavour is far too subtle for me. #Italy #cuisine

I'm at the airport in Charlotte NC and the Sun Drop is cheaper than a bottled water. Makes sense since the drink is bottled locally and is a southern delicacy. I do not like to drink soft drinks unless necessary, but my wallet and I will make an exception just this once. Now all I need is a Zero bar...
