Had a fabulous #FieldTrip today with Long Now Boston folks. We toured the #DeerIsland wastewater treatment plant. Yes, Long Now Boston is a nerd club.

But it gives me hope: some really smart, thoughtful, and capable people are keeping our infrastructure going and planning for #ClimateChange--no matter what the other noise around is.

@novid As I predicted, the #COVID #wastewater concentration at #DeerIsland dropped after the recent rain and then bounced back up. Expect it to get _much_ higher over the next two weeks. It will jump from people traveling and gathering for Christmas without adequate precautions, and then jump again from people doing the same over New Year's.
