It turns out that there has been exactly one (1) early career research grant in this year's #DECRA round in Pure Mathematics.
One.
These grants can be make-or-break career moments for aspiring junior pure mathematicians in Australia, because there is literally no other research grant they can win, to impress prospective university employers.
For comparison, there were 9 in total across pure, applied, statistics, mathematical physics; 11 across 'physical sciences'. And 46 in engineering.

For those who missed it:
On Friday arvo ARC said #DECRA outcomes would be announced on Monday (today). BUT they accidentally made a document public on their webserver revealing the successful grants.

It's very common to get As/Bs from your Detailed Assessors but Cs/Ds/Es from the General Assessors. The thread explains why.

The ARC says they’ll announce #DECRA outcomes on Monday (26 Aug).
When announcing other recent schemes, they’ve started sending emails to applicants simultaneously with the public release. As usual, my bot will tweet out the public release as soon as it’s available.

For those asking, I've got no updates about when #DECRA #DE24 outcomes will be announced. My reasoning about why we might expect them any time now is 👇
(Aside: All outcomes announcements this year were made between 11am and 12noon Canberra time. Such uniformity is unusual.)

I haven't heard of any Future Fellowship applicants who were NIT-picked* but _not_ funded.
Obviously, we can't conclude that all NIT-picked DE24 apps will be funded. But chances are probably high; maybe >95%?

Outcomes may be as early as mid-to-late Aug, 2–3 weeks before ARC projection (13–26 Sep).
Recent schemes were announced 2–3 weeks "early" incl #FT23 y'day (data➡️https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pUlWY6vgYVmNdVimbDl8KYBbQezezNTXuizuIyV_WzE/edit?usp=sharing)
#DE24 NIT-picking was 3 wks after #FT23, so on track for outcomes in ~3 wks.
