Экономика LLM-инференса: почему ваш финдир должен знать разницу между Prefill и Decode
В 2025 году рынок корпоративного ИИ-инференса составил ~100 миллиардов долларов. Но парадокс в том, что успех автоматизации бизнес-процессов с помощью LLM зависит не только от выбора модели, а от глубокого понимания двух принципиально разных этапов работы нейросети: Prefill и Decode. Игнорирование их различий — самая дорогая ошибка в AI-инфраструктуре, которая может исказить реальную стоимость запроса в 10-50 раз. Два подхода для обработки одного запроса LLM-инференс — это не монолитный процесс, а две технологически несовместимые фазы. Prefill (обработка входящего промпта) — это пиковая вычислительная нагрузка. Модель загружает и анализирует весь входной контекст, создавая так называемый KV-кеш. Это высокопараллельная операция, которая нагружает тензорные ядра GPU на 90-95%. Как только модель начинает генерировать ответ по одному токену, начинается Decode. Это совершенно другой процесс - последовательный и лимитированный пропускной способностью памяти. Утилизация GPU на этой фазе драматически падает до 20-40%, а то и до 15-30%. Именно поэтому экономика «плоского тарифа за токен» в корне неверна. Запрос на 2000 токенов промпта с 50 токенами ответа потребляет в разы больше ресурсов GPU, чем запрос с 10 токенами промпта и длинной генерацией на 2000 токенов, хотя общее число токенов сопоставимо. Железо решает: скорость в час пик Связывать обе фазы с одной и той же дорогой железкой — все равно что возить на суперкаре почту в час пик. Как это выглядит на рынке GPU: NVIDIA H100 (80GB) — флагман за $25-35 тысяч за карту. Его массивные тензорные ядра и архитектура Transformer Engine идеальны для быстрого Prefill, но на Decode простаивают, ограниченные пропускной способностью памяти.

A New Year Puzzle!
As our kids don't have homework and clearly have watched too much TV we set them a challenge. Do a short project on a topic they liked.
Our 6yr old is very into Ancient Egyptians so it was suggested they did a day in the life of a kid back then. It was also suggested they wrote their name in hieroglyphics.
2 hours later - the whole project has been written in hieroglyphs, it sort of makes sense.
Anyway here you go #fediverse enjoy a puzzle. I've blocked her name with a card as she doesn't need internet. Just a slight warning, firstly she has been learning phonics so spelling ain't great, also clearly her drawing isn't great either. It goes left to right and there are some modern numbers in there.
I can ask her for clues if you want but she has already forgotten most of what she wrote. The key is from The Ancient Egyptians from Ladybird (penguin)

Based on the description of @connor_mc_d latest blog post (https://lnkd.in/gvqh6kAp) I've discovered that the page from the version 11.2 to 23ai of @oracledatabase official #docs (https://lnkd.in/gdVC-A5K) all along have the "Expand All/Collapse All" button but added the incredible button with Table of Contents (ToC) from 12.2 to 23ai.
It depends on the stuff you hunt on the Search Box after pressing the hot key "Ctrl-F" you can try it by immediately hitting the button "Expand All" or "ToC".
In particular ToC seems like the navigating pane in the tab "view" of the @microsoft Office Word software and is the toal index page of current doc. It's the tiny and further improvement and enhancement of @oracledatabase official #docs although it's always hard to statisfy everybody.
The following video (last for 8.5 minutes) demonstrates how to find out "DECODE" stuff from 11.2 to 23ai. 😜
