Meet Phineas Draem, Proprietor of Phin's Finds
Rogue 3 / Bard 7---
Phineas Draem was never a warrior, never an adventurer, never a thief. He was a salesman. His shop, Phin's Finds, was a cramped, cluttered den of cuiosities tucked into a crooked alley, the kind of place where adventures found oddities, nobles found forbidden treasures, and scholars found things they weren't supposed to touch. Phineas didn't steal or pillage; he bought. Everything he owned passed through someone else's hands first.
Over the years, he built his stock by charming desperate sellers, out-negotiating rival merchants, and keeping a careful network of whispers. His crowning jewel was a nearly-complete Deck of Many Things, which he had pieced together card-by-card over a lifetime. Then, one night, it was all gone. A break-in, an inside betrayal, or maybe a curse -- he doesn't know. But the deck, and every other piece of stock, had vanished.
With no money, no goods, and no business left to run, Phineas set out not as a merchant but as a desperate man on the road, seeking either to reclaim his lost deck or to start again from nothing.

Rogue (Mastermind) and Bard (Eloquence) together give Phineas a silver tongue, a read of people, a knack for the right lie at the right time, running networks, hiring middlemen, keeping up appearances, negotiations, debates, and talking his way out of trouble. He's never actually seen battle, but knows how to stay alive. He ducks behind cover, throws out distractions, cuts through minds with words. Fast talk, misdirection, and a hidden dagger just in case.
Phineas isn't after fame, glory, and wealth. He wants stock. Artifacts, relics, cursed objects, forgotten magic. Anything to restore his status as the black market's greatest dealer.

Monks finally get a +X item for their unarmed strikes.
We did it, folks. It took us 9 years, but we finally got there. Go tell someone (maybe a monk) that you love them.

It's a keyblade.
Also, it can cast Knock at will. No lock or noise ordnance is safe!

1/day max damage on a spell dealing fire or necrotic. Not one damage roll for that spell. ALL of the damage.
Max Wall of Fire. Max Scorching Ray. Max Spirit Shroud. Max Spirit Guardians.
Also, damage resistances. Neat.

#DeckOfManyThings new magic item: House of Cards
You can use to make an alarmingly large, upsettingly durable shelter once per day. While it's obviously intended for camping, this thing is basically Wall of Stone once per day.
No joke. I just really want this item.

#DeckOfManyThings new magic item: Grasping Whip
On hit, pull your target 5 feet closer. The jokes can range from "scorpion" to "this account is PG because I know children read my content at school and I can't say what some of us are thinking".

#DeckOfManyThings new item: Gloomwrought Armor.
Infused by the Shadowfell, this armor makes you too depressed to be easily scared. You can also cast Calm Emotions, allowing everyone around you to also feel absolutely nothing.

#DeckOfManyThings new magic item: Cardsharp's Deck
People really want an item that lets you attack by throwing cards, and nominally this is it. It's a spell attack, which has some problems. Ex: No Sneak Attack. But it does force damage, which almost nothing resists.
So what is it for? Vandalism!

Can set flammable objects on fire. You can commit arson from as far as 600 feet away!

Tailor-made for valor bards. Scaling +X bonus for proficiency or expertise in Performance. +Charisma to damage. Stellar. Flavorful. Effective. I love it.
Hexblade: This is mine and I'm doing to 3xCha damage with it.

This thing screams "barbarian." +2 attack bonus, but only if you're below half hp. Joke's on WotC: my barbarians are NEVER above half hp.

You can throw it as a weapon attack and it returns after the attack. They promised us Gambit, and they gave use Captain America.

#DeckOfManyThings new item: Armor of Fungal Spores
Lets you fill a radius around you with spores once per day, poisoning creatures in the area on a failed Con save. Hillarious if you're immune to poison or can pass the save, but it doesn't exclude the user, which is going to lead to hillarious results.

I've already update our #DnD5e class handbooks to include the new Cartomancer feat from #DeckOfManyThings. I'm working on magic items today.
There are a lot of really fun items here, some of which you can completely build a character around. I'll post some favorites as i go.

#DeckOfManyThings drops tomorrow and includes the new Cartomancer feat. It allows you to prepare a 1-action spell from your spell list IGNORING YOUR KNOWN SPELLS and cast it as a bonus action once per day. Huge potential for bard/sorcerer/warlock.
