Delighted to welcome Francesca Bria to #DecidimFest25! 🎇

She'll join the roundtable dedicated to #DigitalSovereignty in the geopolitical landscape.

She's an innovation economist and digital policy expert working at the intersection of technology, geopolitics, economics, and society. She is an Honorary Professor at UCL’s Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose in London & a Senior Fellow at Stiftung Mercator in Berlin, where she leads the EuroStack Initiative on Europe’s Digital Sovereignty

Petter Joelson will be speaking at #DecidimFest25! 📣

He will join the panel Decidim Stories, where cities from around the globe will reflect on how they are reimagining democracy in the digital age. Petter will bring experiences from Sweden, where Decidim has been transforming citizen participation at the local level with a special focus on the Gothenburg case.

Petter is the Digital Director and co-founder of #DigidemLab, a development lab and consultancy for citizen participation.

🚀 Excited to announce that Sonia Putzel, Technology Strategist at New York City’s Civic Engagement Commission, will be joining us at #DecidimFest25!

Sonia will participate in the #DecidimStories panel, where cities like #NewYork, #Kakogawa, and #Gothenburg.

At the #CEC, Sonia leads the creation of online participatory spaces and digital tools for civic engagement. She also manages participate.nyc.gov, NYC's implementation of Decidim.

@Amandine,COO and co-founder of @element will be speaking at #DecidimFest25 ☄️

She has been at the forefront of building the @matrix , nurturing the growth of a vibrant open ecosystem, while also driving the success of Element—a sustainable open-source company with a strong focus on gov tech.

At the Fest, she’ll join a roundtable on the open web, open protocols, and the future of decentralized governance and interoperability.

The #DecidimFest25 will also feature @robin, technologist specialising in digital technology governance. His work focuses on building democratic governance of technology so that our digital sphere begins to work for the public good.

During the Fest, he will participate in a round table discussion dedicated to the open web, a crucial debate in today’s landscape where big tech platforms dominate digital life.

The Fest programme (4-6 November) will be released in the coming weeks.

The main keynote speaker is Dr @ruha9, sociologist & Princeton professor.
She’s a leading voice on how science & tech shape the world, uncovering links between innovation, inequality, race, power & justice.

This year’s Fest focuses on co-constructing public, open & sustainable technologies. See you there!

The #DecidimFest25 is approaching, and we invite you to contribute with your ideas!

The #OpenCall is scheduled for Thursday, 6th November during the Community Day. This year we're seeking workshops and lightning talks that explore the technology as a public good and the adoption of Digital Public Infrastructures.

Selected proposals will be featured at the festival and are eligible for community-driven sessions.
