If your mail server supports #sieve scripts, you can use that for a very basic mailing list. It's absolutely not capable of much more than the original reflector concept, but it has served me well, so it's in my GoodEnough™ bucket :) Maybe you want to play with this too? Not everyone wants to learn how to install and run mailman, but everyone should be able to run their own mailing lists in these weird times ;)

Something for the weekend? I'm super pleased to have just blogged with the 1st issue of #SOURCE. SOURCE is an idea for where to place articles I'd like to write but that are to difficult for my brilliant paid clients to home. SOURCE is opensource, free (pay as you feel) and I'd LOVE it if you shared my first experimental issue on Computational Fluid Dynamics with @FreeCAD that's on this blog. Ta.

Having a single ruler for an entire continent—or a single #messaging service for all cyberspace—can be problematic. All-powerful entity can easily become dictators, and even if they didn't here's no way one ruler can know the needs of a diverse variety of people (unless perhaps if it's #AlysanneTargaryen)
A better way would be to #decentralise power with a variety of local, (s)electable rulers—the more local the better!

But the EU should more care about SOFTWARE than Hardware. In Software Europa is COMPLETELY dependent on the USA - except with open source.
And instead of running behind the USA and China with trying to set up European tech companies Europe should consequently set on open-sourced and decentralized systems!

Idle thought:
Is it possible to run Wireguard over Yggdrasil overlay network?
That might allow a mesh experience closer to Tailscale, but with no outside centralised components.
Yggdrasil is a public network, Wireguard is private. Yggdrasil gives a consistent IPv6 address (even over IPv4), Wireguard ensures known entities have access to services. Firewall Yggdrasil interface to only allow Wireguard connections (might not be possible on mobile though).
