I read an interesting interview of Johnathan Flowers recently, on the affordances, lack of organization and funding in the fediverse, and sentiment of oppression https://techpolicy.press/the-whiteness-of-mastodon/ . QT is indeed as much a weapon for the marginalized to challenge the oppressors, as it is for far-right supremacists to doxx and perpetuate the domination.
To me this relates to the debate between #accel and #decel, and the different "flavors" of l/acc, e/acc, r/acc.
