First time ever I use a #decanter and large bowl wine glasses. Having this #Barbera with an appetiser of salami, cheese and crackers and then #pasta with #amatriciana. I didn't have the best impression of Barbera on my first try so this time decided to go for a Superiore. You do taste the difference. It doesn't have the complexity of a Nebbiolo but it's a great #wine! Taste of #blueberries and #smoke I'd say. #winetasting #winelover #winegeek

The great Aurelio Montes, one of the godfathers of Chilean wine.
I first met Aurelio about 16 years ago when I had to shoot him for Decanter magazine. He was late and I was panicking as Decanter needed the images the next day. In the store at the winery was a full sized cardboard cutout of Aurelio. I started to shoot that as a last resort when he came in. We still joke about this.
