So... most gnome apps are failing to open on my debian sid daily driver. So... pgadmin4 won't open to remotely edit my company database. So... I have learned how to add a column to a table in my remote database using psql locally. Yup, I'm a hacker.

#TIL about #lsix (https://github.com/hackerb9/lsix) and calling #xterm with the option "-ti vt340" to be able to display inline images inside an xterm—thanks to lsix having just arrived in #DebianUnstable: https://packages.debian.org/sid/lsix
These inline images (or the backend used to display them) seem to be called #sixel graphics. And they're said to work transparently through SSH. Maybe better than #chafa or #catimg.

Anyone has an idea why for a few weeks, the #ComposeKey under #X11 on #Debian Unstable (set via "setxkbmap -option compose:menu -option compose:rwin -option compose:rctrl -option compose:ralt") suddenly only works if I release it before pressing the first key of the wanted key combo?
If you see e.g. a "a instead of an ä from me, it's because I was used to already press " before I released the Compose Key. Very annoying and happens far too often. 🤬

Oggi ho installato #DebianSid con interfaccia #LXQt.
LXQt è diventato il mio DE su #ArchLinux e mi ci sto trovando molto bene.
So perfettamente che potrei andare incontro a dei problemi ma questa installazione è solo un test e non ho nulla di importante sopra, sicuramente mi insegnerà qualcosa.
Vediamo come va 🤞

Caros #cibercamaradas tenho experienciado um #bug que nunca me surgiu em #gimp.
Ao renderizar o texto, o #antialiasing é exageradamente óbivo, ficando delineado em todos os steps de zoom incluindo a 50%, 100% (conforme o exemplo).
Já dei voltas à configuração, alterei os níveis de hinting e também não houve updates recentes...
Estou em #debiansid com a versão 2.10.34 instalada através dos repositórios oficiais. -
@13reak @artfulrobot This kind of toot always makes me wonder, if I shoud once try another distro, #fedora for example. Or go for #debianSid.
But I am just an amateur linux user, and #DebianStable does all I need... -
