One thing that strikes me in Trump's way of talking – "They're eating the pets. Of the people that live there." — is the use of "that" instead of "who". The people "that" live there, not the people "who" live there.
He's talking about people as if they were objects.

Walz is doing fine, but Vance is not Trump. He does not debate like Trump. He actually knows how to speak to a national audience and hide who he really is.
He was a TV pundit / grifter for a long time before getting into politics, he knows how to do this.
Vance is doing better in the debate than Trump did vs Harris.

It's an interesting idea but at that point why debate on TV. Let's get really old school and debate in the newspaper (or blog). Let them write down the words and put it in print.
