Ok, I think I just experienced the worst thing I've ever seen in a webinar.

Presenter turned her cursor into a spotlight over a slide with text on it. It highlighted part of a sentence and darkened the rest of the screen.

Very annoying.

my war on death by powerpoint continues. I have taken to adopting guerrilla techniques. I have decided that best way to stop everyone from asking me to build a slide deck is introducing new acronyms in sneaky manner. In today's meeting I introduced a new term during a slide. Data Egress in Regional Presence. I will wait for couple of months and introduce it as an acronym.
For those wanting to avail themselves of my services, I do offer SaaS ( Sarcasm as a Service ).

Is it just me or has everyone just forgotten how to put PowerPoint into present mode on Teams.

I can't remember the last teams meeting I've been in where the presenter isn't screen sharing the PowerPoint document in edit mode.

📣 #DeathByPowerpoint is not actually PowerPoint's fault.

If you want to create visually engaging presentations, the solution isn't to look for a new app.

You're just as likely to create bad slides in Canva, Prezi, or Google slides. 👏

PPT is actually a great tool...If you use it right. 😉😁

Many presentations are already painful because of #DeathByPowerpoint (with over-reliance on slides with only bullet points).

But I find it equally painful by how many meetings/presentations become tedious because of AV issues which are often because it’s the first time someone is using that particular setup.
