Just started #deathandotherdetails (on Hulu) and it's quite intriguing so far. I'd consider it R rated (language, nudity - does TV-MA tell you that?)
Oh and #mandypatinkin from #theprincessbride is in it 🤩

After failing to make much of a splash with streaming viewers, Hulu has cancelled murder mystery series "Death And Other Details", starring Violett Bane and Mandy Patinkin, after a single season.

Bummer. I actually liked #DeathAndOtherDetails. Initially it felt a bit close to Knives Out, but later it became its own thing. At least the season ends in a satisfying manner. I'd still recommend the show.

I've been sick the past couple of days, so that gave me time to finish watching #DeathAndOtherDetails - so I've finished it (I'm slow yes).
It got crazy really quickly, and at one point I really just thought - everyone was the murder.
The end was good, not great. And I really kind of got a Scooby Doo vibe - Like the "gang" is standing there going "Well gang, we have another mystery to solve."
Or was that just me....

@dandb Yes, why was the choice made to use that accent? It sounds like the made up transatlantic accent used in movies in the 1930s-50s.
Mandy Patinkin is deliberate and skilled with his voice work, so you know it has to have been a capital C Choice. Are we going to learn backstory at some point why this character needs a transatlantic accent? Was the detective raised alone in a room with nothing but AMC on the TV? 🤣

@intothewestaway Have you watched ep 6 yet? It bothered me a little and I want to talk about it.
-
@alwirtes Nice alternate title! 🤣 As more government agents board to join the investigation, we can start calling it The Gov Boat. 😉
I need to talk about episode six - it bothered me a little. Have you watched it yet? I don’t want to spoiler it for you.

'Death and Other Details' Sneak Peek Reveals a Vital Clue for the Mystery

Watched the first two episodes of #DeathAndOtherDetails yesterday. I heard this was a #LockRoomMystery but they solved the locked room part within the first few minutes of the detective and his un-witting assistant got together.
So not really a lock room mystery.
There are a number of actors I recognized as well - But it took me a while to figure out where I knew the lead (Mandy Patinkin) from. 😞
They could have left all the cussing out.
But I think I will enjoy this series anyway.

I enjoyed the vibe of Death and Other Details. I'll keep watching. Though Patinkin's accent is deeply distressing. #tv #DeathAndOtherDetails

How do you like your crime? Clever + complicated: Blue Lights (just arrived on BritBox). Sunny, fun and WTF?: #Deathandotherdetails works. Frightening with existential dread? #TrueDetective. Sexy but at a nunnery in the gorgeous South of France? #MonsieurSpade will do the job.

Watched the first episode of #DeathAndOtherDetails on #Hulu. Overall, it's a pretty entertaining show in the same vein as #KnivesOut.
It does scores extra points in my book by closing with a #Wipers song.
