Read the thread on violence in #kdrama land. I made it through s1 of #taxidriver but decided to skip S2. I feel that #theglory is a masterpiece of revenge being served cold. I think I’m the only person who never made it past ep 3 of #vincenzo. Ironically I found the Korean version of #boysbeforeflowers unwatchable because of the violence.
I liked #revenant and #dearhongrang otherwise I don’t watch a lot of horror. -

I dropped #Vincenzo and #TaxiDriver when I was quite well into them, so my tolerance for fighting and gore isn't that high.
However, I completed #DearHongrang and #AKillerParadox, so it's dependent on mood and how the story/acting strikes me.
@whoosh and I are currently watching and loving #NinePuzzles. It's quite cerebral, which Paradox was, as well. And, #SonSukku!

I finished #dearhongrang and found it a magnificent telling of uncomfortable truths about power, corruption, greed and obsession. To say more than this would give away too much. #leejaewook, #joboah and #junggaram bring depth to the characters they portray & the supporting cast does equally well. It’s a rare 10/10 from me. #kdrama

That's one thing I appreciate about kdramas that the base level is so timid that any physical affection creates tensions and anything over holding hands is hot hot hot. Gives them a lot of dynamic range if they dare to use it. :blobcatgiggle:

Episode 10/11 changed my rating of this show as the evil became extreme and pretty much everyone was in on it.
A gorgeous show with great acting but OTT evil.

#DearHongrang auf Netflix is ja mal sauhochwertig gemacht, wenn auch keine leichte Kost.
Man merkt hier: da war etwas mehr Geld im Spiel. Kameraführung, Musik, Bühnenbild, Szeneneinstellung...alles top notch.
Und es gibt eine deutsche Synchro (was mich erst mal total verwirrt hat)Bisher: Nicht nur eine Empfehlenung für Freunde des historischen Mystery/Drama in koreanisch/Joseon Kontext.
