Canadian born singer actress Deanna Durbin (1921-2013) moved to America with her family at a very young age. She became a Hollywood child star, winning the Juvinale Oscar in 1938. By the age of 21 she was the most highly paid female star in the world. In 1949 Durbin left the film industry and moved to a farmhouse near Paris.
