Just finished Deadloch S2. At times, a bit silly, at others very pointed about certain Australian attitudes, at others, tense enough that *my legs were literally shaking* as I perched on the edge of my seat. And at still other times, it was outrageously funny.
What can I say, I enjoyed it. 🤷
I was surprised to discover tonight who plays Eddie's dad. I thought he looked a bit familiar, so looked it up.
"that's not the Goose. No way" 😉

We'd decided to hold off watching season 2 of #Deadloch until after it was all available, and then kind of lost track of time. Started watching it last week and finished it last night. So damn good. I think season 1 was better, but it would have undoubtedly had more development time – and perhaps the element of surprise. This time around though it still didn't disappoint! So quintessentially Australian in all the right ways.

Watching #deadloch season 2 and holy cow is it a lot. (Fun, to be clear.) I'm exhausted for Dulcie. She needs to spend a month (at least) on a quiet beach all by herself.

So, with a friend of mine, I'm co-watching this show on Amazon called #Deadloch, and it's fricken brilliant.
It's a super quirky murder mystery / comedy set in a small, Tasmanian, seaside town full of lesbians. Just finished season 1 (of 2, so far), and I can't recommend it highly enough. (With the caveat that one of the leads is soooo annoying until about halfway through the season when she becomes awesome.)

Gisteren in 1 keer de hele 2e Deadloch serie gekeken (Australisch). Ben niet van de crime maar deze is zo'n goede mix van donkere comedy, lompigheid, Fargo-over-the-top, fucked-up karakters dat dit dan weer wel aan mij besteedt is (minus de ranzige lijkerigheid, dat vind ik gross) #Deadloch

I am watching the final episode of season 2 of Deadloch and I am experiencing equal measures of delight, distraught and dread. Delight because it's such a well written, funny kinda piss take of crime drama (but it's actually also a really good drama). Distraught that there are no more episodes. And dread that the Kates may not make any more!

Also, surprised at how much Madeleine Sami looks like Julia Louis Dreyfuss’s cousin…

I just finished season 2 of Deadloch. The Kates did an amazing job. Really enjoyed it.
Queer representation woven in and throughout it, Aussie humour, and some powerfully emotional moments.
That being said, the first few episodes were a bit over the top, and I almost stopped watching thinking it wasn't really my thing, but once the show found its feet, it kept on delivering!
