Just heard an album from 2025 called Dead Channel Sky by a band called 'clipping'. It's a real genre-mash. Grimy rap over digital-hardcore-inspired chaos, infused with a proper 90s industrial sensibility. There's even hints of Nurse With Wound in there!
The whole album is a riff on William Gibson's Neuromancer (who knew Concept Albums could still be cool in this day and age?).
It's a long way from easy-listening, but I bloody love it.
