This week, we open sourced our #EventStorming case. Celebrating #DDDEurope, which I’m currently visiting. We have learnt a lot from the community and want to give something back.

3 days to go for my hands-on @dddeu! 😎 We will explore the different principles of a management model and what other tools we need to create an effective and humane organization!
What is your burning question? ⁉️

In two weeks, it is @dddeu again! 🎉 This year, I’ve had the privilege to have my hands-on “Team Topologies is not enough; you need a management model to match”.
We will explore why organization design alone is not enough and what other management principles we tend to forget but are key to an adaptive and effective organization!
Will I see you on the 4th of June?

Shades of Conway's Law, the recording of my @dddeu session
For once, I am fairly proud of the performance 😊 💪
-
Here's an updated slide deck of Shades of Conway's Law given at @dddeu
The deck now includes the time component to Conway's Law. It also goes deeper into the Mirroring Principle.
This thing keeps growing 🤷

So much this!
“Completely full calendars prevent deep thinking and conceptual work. A trivial statement, but a problem in many organisations nonetheless. Often best done in pairs. Eg Analyst + Domain Expert”

Marcus Völter actually proves that Germans can have humor in his talk How to understand almost anything. #dddeu #dddeurope

Rebecca Parsons about Conway’s Law at #dddeu
Rebecca: This integration is broken.
X: How do you know? You haven’t even looked at the code?
Rebecca: I’ve observed the tech leads of the two systems. They do not talk to each other. So that integration cannot work 💯Conway makes that same observation in his paper:
If two sub-systems are designed by two design teams that do not communicate with each other. By definition, those two sub-systems will not communicate with each other 🤷 -
I did a lightning talk yesterday at #dddEurope and honestly it was pulled together last minute from some random ideas I had - but I've had a couple of people now say they liked it - the photographer at the event said it made things a little more understandable - maybe I'm on to something 🤔 #dddEU
-
“If you design for testability, you end up with a clean architecture.” #dddeurope #dddeu
-
The great thing about conferences is if you ask the right questions you can get pretty unbiased validation that you are doing the right thing and it doesn't have to be in the same business domain, just a similar problem engineering wise that can help solve a business one. #dddEurope #dddconf #dddEu

Today I continued experimenting with a decider. On the left of the screenshot, you can see how my tests look now. On the right, the implementation of the 'testing framework'.
If you find this interesting, you can follow my progress on gitlab: https://gitlab.com/rva-vzw/dikdikdik/-/merge_requests/280/diffs #dddeu #decider #dikdikdik
