I spent the last 5 hours on eldercare and family time, but managed to get a release out the door tonight: FromThePage 24.12-pre, a pre-release version of the codebase with an upgrade to Ruby 3 and Rails 7.

On this #DayofDH2024 I did what I usually do on weekdays, added some metadata for the 23 #Manuscripts that the #Vatican uploaded today, tried to transcribe 17th C Italian, and triumphantly announce that the 12th and final volume of the monumental Boncompagni Ludovisi Missal is now online for your enjoyment!

Notes from #DayofDH2024: the TSA *really freaks out* at containers with lots of beads in them. No concerns about all the needles or scissors in my bag, but that jar of beads for embroidery was A Whole Thing. Now waiting to board the flight to LAX, wrapping up some data crunching for this project.

It was apparently #DayOfDH2024 today and I haven't actually done any DH, because I'm only employed half the days in a week and this wasn't one of them this week. Ah well.

✅ First draft abstract for #DH2025
✅ Discuss progress and obstacles on my pubication project #globallocaldh : obstacle 1) not paying attention to stylesheet instructions 🤷♀️2) keeping deadlines ☠️3) finding reviewers in a hypernetworked field 🤯
DH is a important part of my research, tomorrow will be more dedicated to the #library side (so I sneaked in a bit of work on a BiblioCon abstract today in as well with @awinkler ) good night! -

Ah, and today, Roman Bleier and I also did some (editorial) work on the first two review papers of the upcoming RIDE issue 19. This issue will be the third dedicated to “Tools and Environments”.
Among others, TEI Publisher (by @Nadine and @AndreasMertgens) and Oxygen XML Frameworks (by Jennifer Bunselmeier and Sina Krottmaier) will be reviewed.
The issue will be published with these two reviews as a "rolling release" in the next days on https://ride.i-d-e.de/.
