Ar galima pažvelgti į klausimą, kas nėra protas, ne kaip į problemą? Ar galite tai padaryti? Jei taip, tai yra proto pradžia, o tai reiškia, kad smegenys jau pradeda išsilaisvinti iš savo sąlygotumo. Bet jei prie to priartėsite kaip prie klausimo ir bandysite jį išspręsti, vėl atsidursite senoje painiavoje. Kai žmogus suvokia, kad smegenys yra sąlygotos spręsti problemas ir todėl bet kokį klausimą jūs vertinate protu ir smegenimis, sakydami: „Aš privalau jį išspręsti“, jūs niekada nesusiduriate su iššūkiu iš naujo. Susidurti su problema iš naujo, bet kokia problema, yra intelekto pradžia.

Can one look at the question of what intelligence is not as a problem? Can you do it? If you do, that is the beginning of intelligence, which means the brain is already becoming free from its conditioning. But if you approach this as a question and then try to solve it, you are back in the old muddle. When one realises that the brain is conditioned to solve problems and therefore that you approach any question with a mind and brain that says, ‘I must solve it,’ you never meet the challenge afresh. To meet a problem afresh, any problem, is the beginning of intelligence.
