Mes turėjome gausybę vedimo ir nurodymų. Kiekvienas laikraštis, kiekvienas žurnalas, kiekvienas pamokslininkas, kiekvienas kunigas visame pasaulyje mus veda, sako mums, ką daryti, ko nedaryti, galvoti taip, negalvoti anaip, atsiduoti, neklausyti jo, nes jis reakcionierius, klausyti manęs... Mes nuolat esame vedami, formuojami, lipdomi — sąmoningai ar nesąmoningai.
Čia mes nieko nevedame; mes esame tarsi du draugai, kartu besikalbantys apie dalykus. Tai visiškai kas kita. Ir vedimas trukdo supratimui gilesne šio žodžio prasme, nes jei tu mane vedžioji — daryk tai, nedaryk ano — aš pirmiausia negaliu suprasti savęs; aš nežiūriu į save, aš klausau, ką tu sakai. Tai reiškia, kad tu tampi autoritetu, o aš tampu tavo vergu — psichologiniu ar kokiu nors kitu vergu. Tų guru vietos, jų ašramai, tampa koncentracijos stovyklomis. Jie sako tau, ką daryti, kaip sveikintis, ir visa kita panaši nesąmonė. Aš nesmerkiu; taip tiesiog yra.
Kodėl mes negalime būti paprasti, matyti dalykus, žiūrėti į juos ir susidurti su jais tokiais, kokie jie iš tikrųjų yra, vietoj šio labirinto ir painiavos? Kodėl turime pereiti per visa tai?

We have had guidance galore. Every newspaper, every magazine, every preacher, every priest throughout the world is guiding us, telling us what to do, what not to do, think this, don’t think that, surrender yourself, don’t listen to him, he is a reactionary, listen to me... We are being guided, shaped, moulded all the time, consciously or unconsciously. Here, we are not guiding anybody; we are like two friends talking things over together. That is totally different. And guidance prevents understanding, in the deeper sense of the word, because if you are guiding me – do this, don’t do that – I can’t understand myself first; I am not looking at myself, I am listening to what you say. That means you become the authority, and I become your slave, either a psychological slave or some other kind of slave. These gurus’ places, their ashrams, become concentration camps. They tell you what to do, how to salute, all that tommyrot. I am not condemning; it is so. Why can’t we be simple, see things, look at and face things as they actually are, instead of this labyrinth and maze? Why do we have to go through all this?

#Day142 of #365HappyDays : #today is #NewCarDay. I picked up my new [to me] little 4x4 this morning. I traded in The Beast - 19yo RAV4 - and bought this Suzuki #Ignis to replace it. It’s a semi-hybrid, weighs about a third as much as the Rav and drinks considerably less fuel.
It tiny compared to the Rav, but oh how I love it so already. I need a 4WD because of where I live and this little beauty is perfect.
