  1. New #DAWNDINOS paper in Anat.Record! We 3D-modelled the super-weirdo Triassic archosaur Riojasuchus. Pseudosuchian fans rejoice! We scanned the best bones, made a composite digital skeleton, reconstructed muscles & flesh & did some #biomechanics! anatomypubs.onlinelibrary.wile

  11. New paper from the #DAWNDINOS team: biomechanical models and simulations show that the Triassic archosaur-relative Euparkeria probably was unable to move bipedally, as it is sometimes reconstructed doing: royalsocietypublishing.org/doi

  16. Hello, I don't yet have much energy to post original content here, but I'll make an #Introduction to help me build toward that.

My research asks how animals move (mainly on land, mainly #Tetrapod #Vertebrate ones, with appendages) AND how locomotion has evolved across major transitions of #Evolution . So I am an evolutionary biomechanist.

    I've studied, for example:
    #Biomechanics #Simulation #Muscle #Paleo #Dinosaurs #DAWNDINOS #Crocodiles #Elephants #Archosaur #Giraffe #Rhino #Pangolin

  21. Now that grant is done, and no murderous deadlines loom, I'm returning to some research. Still #DAWNDINOS, but also reviving "old" research. Writing a paper on the evolution of mammalian "predigits" (pseudo-digits from sesamoids etc.), back-burnered ~5 years ago.
