Hype for the Future 101K: City of Owensboro, Kentucky

Overview The City of Owensboro is located within Daviess County, Kentucky, and serves as the county seat. Historically spelled as Owensborough, the community today is home to Brescia University, as well as the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art and the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Kentucky Wesleyan College and the World’s Largest Sassafras Tree are also located within the city limits, and Route 60 serves as a bypass along the southern side of the city, furthest from the Ohio River.
