Ein amerikanischer Kriegsfilm, der insbesondere in Großbritannien zu einem ewigen Dauerläufer wurde – und das, ausgerechnet, zu Weihnachten. Keine Frage, alleine die Besetzung mit Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, Charles Bronson, Donald Pleasence, James Coburn und Hannes Messemer ist selbst heutzutage noch ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal, das seinesgleichen sucht. Best remembered for the 1960s TV series THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., costarring #RobertVaughn.
A few of the longer episodes became big-screen releases (esp. outside the US), notably THE SPY IN THE GREEN HAT, costarring #JanetLeigh, #JackPalance & #JoanBlondell.
Decades after UNCLE, McCallum became a regular in the series #NCIS.
At one point, he was married to #JillIreland.
