Blood, Sweat & Tears měli dechy, jazzové hráče a složitá aranžmá. David Clayton-Thomas jim přinesl něco, co se do partitury zapisuje hůř: torontskou ulici, bluesovou drsnost a schopnost ovládnout sál. Napsal „Spinning Wheel“, prošel školou Ronnieho Hawkinse a změnil dobře vychovanou kapelu v jazzrockový stroj, který se pod elegantním oblekem pořád potil.

Now here was a summer concert lineup!
It was on July 9 that BS&T played at the Schaefer Festival in NY's Central Park.I was mesmerized - goosebumps! - from hearing the first line of "You Made Me So Happy", his mellifluous voice echoing across and around Central Park.
I was not expecting that.

"Spinning Wheel" is a song from 1968 by the band #BloodSweatAndTears, written by #Canadian lead vocalist #DavidClaytonThomas and appearing on their eponymous album. Released as a #single in 1969, "Spinning Wheel" peaked at No.2 on the #Billboard Hot 100 chart in July of that year, remaining in the runner-up position for three weeks.
