  1. For the folk who were interested in #Tildagon #CO2 monitoring #Hexpansion, here' s a very hacky first stab at #Oxygon, a Tildagon app to talk to the #SCD41 sensor for high accuracy CO2 monitoring: codeberg.org/martin_hamilton/t

This is in the Tildagon app store as apps.badge.emfcamp.org/apps/00, but requires a breakout hexpansion as per the README.

NB still need to add calibration mode, but it's a start! Some further ideas in the README - PRs welcome :blobthanks:

I quite like the idea of logging CO2 by GPS (or wifi?) geolocation, perhaps over the network, and displayed on a/the #EMFCamp map. Crowdsourced #Datenzwerg could happen :gnomeHey:

Now to hit the #Kicad and see if I can figure out how to design an all-in-one PCB. Or perhaps a PCB that can easily be mated with the common CO2 sensor boards, the same way the Tildagon screen attaches to the front plate?

  6. @akareilly

makes me wonder if @foosel is coming and will bring her #DatenZwerg |e

  7. ... and no picture set of mine from #why2025 would of course be complete without a #Datenzwerg

  8. I spent the past days at #why2025 with my humans and it was great!

@foosel carried me across the whole event a couple times in her bottle holder, and I got to see so much awesome stuff, blinking lights, fog, fire, and even Gina and Dennis singing karaoke 🤭 AND I helped with the #Datenzwerg|e of course!

I'm looking forward to the next event they drag me to 😊 Oh, and I got Dennis' ribbon again! 🥳

  9. We’ve now got a #datenzwerg at our Infodesk (one of 3.628.800).

    #why2025

  10. Now officially on our way to #why2025 with 10 @dzoc #Datenzwerg|e 🥳

Travelling masked because @Romses just got negative again (quite stressful timing!) and with almost 6h of travel in a very small enclosed space we decided to err on the side of caution 😷

  11. Packing for #why2025 almost done (will travel there on Thursday), and it's disturbing how much additional gear you need when a) going camping & b) bringing the @dzoc #Datenzwerg army with you for deployment.

The gnomes and tooling for them (for maintenance on the field) alone are more than I need for "normal" indoor events I'm going to on my own 😅 And I only have half of them yet, the other five are still with @Romses

My personal stuff fits into a small backpack and a sport bag 😬

  12. My contribution to #FreeCADFriday: A freshly designed bottom plate for the @dzoc #Datenzwerg|e in preparation for their deployment at #WHY2025. Will be covered by an off the shelf roof tile. The first version is printing right now, I'll show how it's supposed to work once I have it in my hands 😬

  13. The #38c3 that I only watched from afar is barely over and I already received the first cards via @ChaosPost sent through snail mail 🥰 Thank you @Romses + #datenzwerg|e and @13r1ckz! And I hear there's also one waiting for me to be delivered by @Romses 😊

  14. Soldered a new #Datenzwerg board (on perfboard, not a PCB, so hard mode) because Sleepy was having irregular I2C issues, only to then realize the issues were the BME sensor's fault after all 🙈

    Hopefully fixed the sensor now.

And it can't hurt to have a spare mainboard I guess 😊

  15. Hardcore test scenario for the freshly created #Datenzwerg info labels... colour laser printer and outdoor label stock ftw 😁

Funnily enough the label stock is a leftover from my c3scooter project for 36c3 ^^

  16. Of course of all our 10 #Datenzwerg|e, it was Kinky who got weird and insisted on reading 2.2V on the UV sensor output (UV index above 9000 or so, completely wrong). Narrowed it down to a main board failure, but couldn't identify the cause.

So Kinky is now running on one of our three PCBs we actually had manufactured just for shit and giggles (more a memento than anything).

And now its data is sound ^^
