So it seems from the lack of responses to my previous post https://fediscience.org/@jgomezdans/114427792187001051 that no one is using the #Copernicus #DataSpace via #STAC. I guess most academic #geo peeps use #GoogleEarthEngine or just download the data files directly? Is STAC only really used by commercial #satellite "bros"?

Has anyone managed to use the #Copernicus #dataspace catalogue to access any #netcdf files? I can search for things, but ultimately, these are ungridded datasets, so I don't know how they work with #STAC friendly libraries like #stackstack or #odc....

2. Visit a hyperlink that denotes an #HTML, #JSON, #JSONLD, other #RDF doc types (e.g., #RDFTurtle, #RDFXML), #CSV, #RSS, or #atom

3. Click on "doggie" icon and it will sniff out the structured data and present property-sheet based UI

Once the #StructuredData is sniffed out, you can download to your filesystem, #WedDAV or #LDP compliant #DataSpace (or Solid Pod), or a #DBMS (or store) that supports #SPARQL.

I've always seen the #Web as a fascinating #DataConnectivity, #DataAccess, and #DBMS frontier .

For instance, I use a variety of patterns ("Save As", "Bookmark" etc.) to save interesting data (extracted from #HTML doc content) into a publicly accessible #DataSpace.

The #JSON file represents an accounts #ActivityStream covering a variety of activities.

This makes @Mastodon content highly accessible and interoperable with other productivity tools.

In my case, the JSON and #RSS data ends up in a #DataSpace that can be queried using full-text search patterns, #FacetedSearch, #SQL, #SPARQL, and #GraphQL.

Een goede middag in Amersfoort vandaag over de Interbestuurlijke #Datastrategie #IBDS en het federatief datastelsel #FDS Iemand merkte op: in een federatie maakt het nogal uit waar je in de federatie zit t.a.v. je invloed. Dat lijkt me hier ook zeker het geval. Werk aan de winkel voor #geodata lijkt me om ook in EU #dataspace context voldoende zichtbaar en pro-actief te blijven om invloed te houden en decennialange ervaring herbruikbaar te maken.
