    Picked up some bottles to take back home to Pittsburgh - things I'd not get there. Mezcal, Raicilla and some others. Really enjoyed the conversation at El Liquor Store and the samlings/tastings as I considered what to buy (bottle/glass weight was a factor for bottle 4 and 5...) Many props to the guy there who gave me a roll of bubble wrap too when he rang me up.
    (I did bring bubble wrap with me but not enough...)

    A much more relaxed day, night today as we wind down. A 1.6 km walk at 9:30 pm to the park. CDMX is lovely and walkable + lots of motivation to walk.
    The always fresh hot churros at El Moro are so good! 10/10

    I remembered to not take my backpack along (not a big deal as they just check) or my camera camera along (can't use that inside). So just phone pics these, no edits.

    Finally made it to a nice bar with partner (kids in apt). Bit of a walk ~2km, but got there just past 6 when they open. I'd been there in Septb& really wanted to get partner to it. She's not one for crowds or smoke/smells & it worked out great - really impressed with the ventilation and overhead fan. (No smoking inside but burning copal out + last time some incense inside)
    Drinks simply outstanding!

    Paratha, 'Priya' cut mango pickle, and desserts of soan papri and gulab jamun - were store bought. Very happy with the quality of the desserts!
    Everything turned out tasting great! Almost everything via partner's prep ahead and cooking.
    There was enough food, leftovers for 5 maybe more. I never got a pic of all the dishes - as they went out to the table. But when partner and I finally sat down - I managed 2 pics of my plate with a bit of everything.

    Next stop after dropping off the haul from Mercado de Jamaica (see 👆🏽) - we headed to Mercado la Viga
    A #fish & seafood #market (I ♥️ fish markets)

    This is not *the* wholesale fish market in #CDMX but still one where there is both a good selection of fish (if we want to get any) and vendors and restaurants with prepared fish/seafood.

    Last pics from the Mercado de Jamaica - vendors at the entrance/exit (one of them) near the car parking. Piloncillo and other goodies and a vendor outside with what looked like dried and season fish and chapulines (crickets). Did get a small bit of the chapulines - as these would be good/fresh - and indeed they were. Crunchy with a gentle sour tang from the seasoning (got them without additional lime juice or other sauces/dressing - that would have made them soggy).

    Flower haul from the Mercado de Jamaica.
    The Lillies were for our dinner host. The heliconia are for kid2 - who decided to get them, rather than other flowers she likes, as you can't get them so easily and these were nice and good looking.
