Started watching #CyberpunkEdgerunners tonight and the first scene is straight out of the game. Yeah, this will be fun.
Also, I realized I am woefully out of date on what’s cool in the world of #Anime these days. Hit me with those recommendations as I’ve seen #Akira, a handful of #DragonBallZ episodes, and like one episode of #AttackOnTitan. Maybe a few others here and there but it’s never been something I’ve truly tried to get into.
I have #Arcane and #Castlevania on the list already but most of my animated shows are the classics like #Archer, #BeavisAndButthead, #DarkwingDuck, etc…

Also, I wanna remind of the fact that in the "Boom! Studios" comics, Gosalyn was wearing a kind ouf school uniform outfit with this plaided skirt, and I gotta say, I don't know which look I like more on her, because oversized shirts are awesome, but so are skirts.
I guess I just like when cartoon characters have multiple outfits. ❤️

Okay, so, according to the Dynamite comics, Drake Mallard / Darkwing Duck is 35.
That means I'm nearly five years older than Darkwing.
I don't know how that makes me feel. 😁

I still need to buy the "What If Disney x Marcel" TPB (Trade Paperback, a collection of several comic issues in a series) and the Darkwing Duck Justice Ducks TPB.
I got the Minnie Mouse What If one, but the others also look like fun crossovers.
I should also get more printed indie Furry comics, but of course Sonic and Disney stuff has more places to get them and more often TPB collections due to just being longer running.
Ah well, more comic animals either way! ❤️

Let me use my Darkwing Duck re-watch for one of my occasional "Cartoon Crushes" segments, this time, not surprising, Gosalyn Mallard, born Waddlemeyer.
She's a lively, spunky girl that loves sports, video games, comics, questioning and eagerly breaking rules.
She hates being treated like a child, and while she's usually wild and energetic, she can also be caring and affectionate as she more than once shows towards her adoptive father Drake Mallard.
She's brave and even dabbles in being a heroine herself, donning mask, cape and bow.
With Gosalyn I'd be happy with both variations:
As actual crush, at her age joining her in her adventures, but also as a certainly proud "father" as she's an awesome daughter with a great sense of justice. ♥️ -

Oh, the Darkwing Duck reboot is still happening, as of information from March 2025?
On one hand that's really cool, on the other I'm also a bit afraid.
I'd love it if they went closer to Gosalyn's original design rather than DuckTales 2017's, but well.
In the worst case I can just ignore the show and re-watch the original again and again, I guess. 😅

My occasional "Darkwing Duck" rewatch has reached the "body swap" episode that seemingly every TV series is forced to include by law. 😁
And not only do the switch voices, as so often, no, Darkwing also obtained Gosalyn's eyelashes in the process. 😁😅
Also, S01E12 semi-answers my question, that I couldn't remember the answer for, if/how Honker knows if Drake is Darkwing:
It seems they never really made a secret out of it and Gosalyn even calls Darkwing "dad" with Honker around.
Strange "secret" identity, but oh well. 😁

As a big fan of Gosalyn, and of situations in which cartoon characters wear different outfits from normal, "Apes of Wrath" (S01E06) is also really nice because it shows Gosalyn in an adventurer/safari outfit as well as your stereotypical Tarzan-like fur-style thingie. ♥️

Aww, I'm re-watching "Darkwing Duck" episodes, in English for the first time, and I forgot that Gosalyn calls Darkwing "Dad" several times, even in the first few episodes already. (original order) ♥️
I thought it was just "Darkwing" most of the time.
That's sweet, I like that. 🥰

Thanks to an unhealthy amount of nostalgia and FOMO my vast collection of stuff now includes these three Omnibus Sized Darkwing Duck Hardcover graphic novel volumes.
Nice to have? Sure. Worth the price tag? Not after the Kickstarter campaign increased shipping costs from 30 to 72 dollars.

Image-searching for "Gosalyn Waddlemeyer" gives one mostly images of her DuckTales (2017) version and far less than her original Darkwing Duck look.
On one hand it's cool that her quite cool DuckTales version gets so much attention, on the other hand it's also a pity because I personally consider her original design to be cuter.
Ultimately, all Gosalyn is good Gosalyn. 😊
("Gosalyn Mallard" gives slightly more DD results, but still more DT.)
